Projects

Each month we set  a project and we encourage all our members to make one or more items relevant to that project. During the meeting we spend a little time reviewing the project work. The response to this is usually very good and we have seen many original ideas since the Branch was formed. We find that most beginners will attempt the project and if they have problems our more experienced members will give them advice.

The project for September 2004 was for clocks with a Meantime movement. There were some delightful pieces made.

In June 2004 we saw some nice pieces of segmented work produced by members.

The November 2003 was unusual but very interesting. Members were asked to turn anything they liked but to paint it black. This gave us the opportunity to look at form.

The February 2002 Project was Plates and platters

The September 2001 Project was a globe clock to the outline design by John Austin
